Short Bio
Mirjam Bonanno is a Ph.D. student in Artificial Intelligence – Health and Life Sciences at Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, within the National Ph.D. Program in Artificial Intelligence (XL cycle). Her operative host institution is the University of Messina, and she works as a healthcare researcher at IRCCS Centro Neurolesi Bonino-Pulejo, Messina (Line 1 - Neurorehabilitation - Technological Innovations in Rehabilitation). Her research focuses on neurorehabilitation and innovative rehabilitation technologies, investigating how advanced solutions can promote recovery in individuals with neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis). She is particularly interested in telerehabilitation, remote monitoring, and the development of AI-driven digital motor biomarkers through markerless motion analysis, with the goal of supporting personalized and adaptive rehabilitation interventions.
